The One With Mother's Day

This year, we had an amazing Mother's Day extravaganza.

1. We started the day with gifts for Emmie and with cinnamon rolls.

2. We then went to Sylvan Street which brought back its Mother's Day brunch.

3. After, we went for a walk at Endicott.

4. We played cards after that.

5. The day capped off by watching Sheep Detectives. At first, I was skeptical...but it ended up being a good movie.

The One With Mother's Day

Today was Mother's Day and we had a lot of fun. We had one plan - harbor cruise - but Emmie decided she wanted to do something different. We

• had quiche and pecan rolls for breakfast

• went on a 4.5 mile bike ride

• got lunch at Essex Seafood

• got ice cream

• watched Tangled (and Celtics beat 76ers in Game 7 of EC Semifinals).

We also got a few ideas for future mother's day things to do:

• Sylvan Street brunch

• Harbor Cruise in Boston

• Harbor Cruise in Gloucester

• Mother's Day Comedy Show

• Lilac Sunday at Arnold Aboreteum

• Appleton Farm picnic

• Mother's Day by the Sea at Beauport Hotel in Gloucester

The One With Mother's Day Weekend

It is here. The single most important day of any family Mother's Day Weekend.

After all, without mothers, there would be no family.

For us, this entails a variety of things. First, we have to contend with sports this weekend. Bri had a softball game Friday and Kiff has a football (flag variety) game Sunday, on Mother's Day.

Then, we had to deal with the fact we have recital practice. Always fun, but definitely digs into the time.

Once those are done, we have to visit Moms....always fun. We checked in with my mother earlier tonight. It was a hoot. And we will see Emmie's mother tomorrow at brunch, which is also fun.

It is a wonderful weekend...but VERY busy.

HERE's WISHING A MOMS A HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
