The One Where Tom Brady Retires - Maybe - While We Get A Blizzard

Saturday January 29 was quite a day. First, we had a blizzard strike New England. It was snowy and windy. In Danvers, we got 24 inches of snow. Natick got 19 inches.

However, the weirder thing about the day came a report around 2:00 PM that Tom Brady had decided to retire after 22 years in the NFL. Yet, a couple hours later, there came word that he might not really have retired. It was definitely very peculiar....but clearly something might be up with Tom Brady.

The One Where Dad Number Two Joins Mom Number 2

Yesterday was a sad day. After several months of putting up a valiant fight after falling four times in June, Dad number 2 passed from this world to the next.

Dad number 2 was an amazing man. I have so many fu
nny memories of him, whether it was going down the hills on the airline in Canada, to his favorite stop at the Irving gas station there, to his search for a remote control on one Christmas Day years ago. And, who could ever forget his eyes light up at a favorite meal.

He moved to Putnam Farms this September, but never really got a chance to enjoy his new home. However, we know he was looking forward to his home in the hereafter, where he will be reunited with Mom 2 (whom he missed).

Thanks for all of the memories Dad 2. We know you are still with us in so many ways. We love you.

And bonus...check out the yearbook blurb we found online for him. It was the 1960s yearbook at  Wakefueld High!!! He had a lot of those dreams come true....including work on a very famous, hard to detect plane.

The One With The Happy New Year

Today is the first day of 2022. And, we rang it in quite nicely. Here is how we got our new year off to a start...

1. We had a nice breakfast of oatmeal.

2. Emmie and I exchanged gifts.

3. Emmie and I did some housework. I fixed the game table, installed the radio in kitchen, fixed the sign on side door, and fixed table. Loved the new radio - I can pair it with my phone to play XM radion. We had holiday traditions on.

4. Bri and Kiff put on a Christmas concert for us.

5. We went out for Chinese food in honor of their great concert.

6. We watched Trapped in Paradise (Emmie likes the message in the movie).

7. We opened some more gifts.

8. We are watching Beast for 10,000 fathoms on Svengoolie. What a good way to start the year.
