The One Where Tom Brady Retires - Maybe - While We Get A Blizzard

Saturday January 29 was quite a day. First, we had a blizzard strike New England. It was snowy and windy. In Danvers, we got 24 inches of snow. Natick got 19 inches.

However, the weirder thing about the day came a report around 2:00 PM that Tom Brady had decided to retire after 22 years in the NFL. Yet, a couple hours later, there came word that he might not really have retired. It was definitely very peculiar....but clearly something might be up with Tom Brady.

The One With Seven on Seven

Today, began another flag football season. This one had a little bit of intrigue to it. This was the first time that we played 7 on 7.

It was quite interesting. There were some new rules to this game, which made it a challenge. And there was definitely a faster pace. But, it was super fun to watch.

Although Kiff's team, the Blizzard, lost 38-6, it was actually a lot closer than that. The teams had a great first half, where they were only down 14-6. Kiff had two good runs, several solid pass defenses, including one on a kid that was five times his size (okay, that was an exaggeration...three times his size).  He also had a sack of the QB.

Looking forward to more of these.

The One Where We Got a Blizzard

It finally happened yesterday.

The large amount of snow that many people thought we would get.

No, it wasn't just any snowstorm. It was the snowstorm named Juno. The blizzard.

And it was a doozy. As I write this now at 7:45 on January 28, it is still overcast outside. Plows are everywhere as a reminder of what has happened.

Yesterday was indeed incredible. We spent most of the day in the house...though the kids managed to go outside. I spent more than four hours snowblowing and shoveling. When last I checked, we had at least 20 inches of snow, but it looks like more than 2 more inches fell. Yikes!

It is definitely memorable...the blizzard of 2015.
