We created this site to make an online writer's notebook to capture the memories, interests, and interesting events in our families life. We hope to publish it regularly and use it as a evolving piece of history - a historical artifact if you will - that our family can enjoy for generations to come. So follow our adventures as our small happy family enjoys life

The One Where We Cross Over to Boy Scouts
Today is World Boy Scout Day. And, it wouldn't be complete without mentioning an important event that happened at our house yesterday. Last night, Kiff completed four years of hard work and crossed over at Cub Scouts.
It was a culmination of so many amazing experiences! Hikes, games, events, skills - four years of taking a small group of boys and preparing them for the fun and challenge of Boy Scouts. We lost a few members along the way - which was sad to see - but we did so many amazing things.
The night itself was fun. There was food from Texas Roadhouse. A blessing. Awards and the crossover. And entertainment....though Kiff and I had to leave early to see Bri's play.
Last night, Mr. D and I had to help a bit with the ceremony, which made it doubly memorably. And, in the end, all of the scouts crossed marking the end of one adventure and the beginning of a new one.
