Ever since it started last year, I had been interested in the Boston at Night Trolley Tour. Although billed as seeing the sunset along the Charles Tour, I knew it had more to offer than that. So when our plans changed for our anniversary, we jumped at the chance to go.
Of course, our anniversary actually started off by a stop at our favorite restaurant for anniversaries - Ruth Chris's. It was awesome as usual. We did try the creamed spinach for the first time...it was good.
Then, we left the old city hall region to head over toward the old Hard Rock region. We spent a short time in Faneuil Hall as we waited for the trolley, and then headed over to the Marriott. There, we met the trolley...which was a 90 minute tour of the city.
The goal of this trolley ride did not focus on the typical history (we've done that trolley before), but some of the anecdotal history, as well as stops as some prime spots for pictures. That included our own version of the website picture shown above. It was incredible. Perhaps my favorite part was when we passed by the back end of Fenway Park - often closed to regular traffic - and could hear Pink's concert in the background. What a night!!! And what a happy 19th anniversary!
