We saw a Man Called Otto tonight. I was interested in it, but was unsure of what to expect. It seemed quirky - like some of Tom Hank's latest movies. And yet, just like those, they all seem splendidly unique.
This one was no different. Although it started off dark - Otto is similar to a Sheldon type character from Big Bang Theory. He has just been let go from his job and recently lost his wife after many years. The story depicts how these events, though shattering, can be overcome with the outside world. And, although Otto doesn't think he has much to offer or enjoy from the world, indeed he does.
Hanks is brilliant once again, but the story is equal parts heart-warming and bittersweet. And totally memorable. We all loved it!!!
