We created this site to make an online writer's notebook to capture the memories, interests, and interesting events in our families life. We hope to publish it regularly and use it as a evolving piece of history - a historical artifact if you will - that our family can enjoy for generations to come. So follow our adventures as our small happy family enjoys life

The One With The Paul Revere Capture Ceremony
Yesterday, we went as a family to the Paul Revere capture ceremony in Lincoln. Because Bri has been studying the Revolutionary War, we thought it would be a great experience. And, because cousin Jim is partially in charge of the ceremony, we thought it would be fun to check it out.
It was a lot of fun. It began with some fife and drum music. Then, there were greetings by the National Park Service and the Captain of the Lincoln Minuteman. After that, the story is told around the frame of the poem "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere," focusing on the fact and fiction of the poem.
It was a fun, one hour ceremony. We had a great time. And, we found out that it might be one of Jim's last ceremonies...which made it even more special.
