We recently went to Santa's Village in New Hampshire. What a blast!
Now, this was not our first time there. In fact, we went in the middle of December once. While that might be nice for the sentimental ambiance of the season, truth be told, it was more memorable for the snow squalls and ice than for the actual fun we had there. It was freezing and freezing and freezing.
However, summer proves a much better go this time around. Although drizzly at first, it proved to be a remarkable outing. We enjoyed the atmosphere, Santa was great (indeed, he has a marvelous summer villa), and the park was super clean. Some things that stood out:
• There was a great Rudolph at the front that somehow (I believe I know) can see you talking to him and will converse with you.
• The park has a running event that all kids can partake in - try to get stamps from 26 different elfs in the part (each representing a different letter of the elpfabet...lol).
• The Ferris Wheel is nice...but a bit tall. Something to note.
• The Himalaya is a fast paced ice ride. Definitely worth a whirl....it goes longer than most such rides.
• The Santa Sleigh is a monorail type sleigh that winds its way slowly through the park. Though genteel, it does tend to move from side to side.
