The One With Peter Rabbit
In our family, Peter Rabbit has always been a bit. So, when we learned that it was coming out as a movie, we could not wait to see it.
This past Tuesday, we had the chance to see the classic tale come to the screen. It was one of those fun animation and live action movies that reminded me of those 70's Banana Splits cartoons I used to love back in the day. Of course, this animation was first rate.
Now, the movie itself was cute, clever, and a hoot. The movie borrowed from some ideas in the old story, as well as the Nickelodeon show that we used to enjoy as a family when Bri and Kiff were younger.
The story has a ton for adults as well as kids and a lot of laughs. We were clearly the loudest laughers of the bunch...but there was no doubt that there were laughs galore in that theater.
Glad we saw it and I have to admit that I cannot wait to see it again!
The One With Tubing
This past week, we did something that we had never done before.
We went snow tubing in New Hampshire. What a great experience. We were staying in North Conway and decided to venture to King Pines, a place we had heard a lot about.
Needless to say, we were not disappointed. The original plan was to go cross country skiing, but we altered that plan a little - Emmie was not feeling that great. So, we figured tubing would be fun.
We were all a little wary. We had never gone before, and those waivers can always be a little worrisome. But, needless to say, we had a blast. There were three great guides at the top, helping to launch people down the hill, as well as a masterful hitcher at the bottom of the hill, guiding the tubes up. It was great.
We went down solo and as a group. Emmie only joined us for one run....it was a wee bit fast for her...but we all enjoyed our hour (that was fun to type) on the slope. And we cannot wait to go again.

The One With Annie and Ice Cream for Breakfast
Last Saturday was a wild one!
Very busy....but a lot of fun.
It started off with the annual Ice Cream for Breakfast extravaganza we take part in each year. In honor of the "holiday" on the first Saturday in February, Cherry Hill offers an ice cream for breakfast fundraiser. And it is awesome. This was our fourth year attending and even though the temperatures were as frosty at the dessert, it did not disappoint.
We lucked out by being allowed to park in the back lot - the nirvana of parking at Cherry Hill. We did have a quick, but brisk wait. Brrrr. However, a visit from the Bruins mascot lightened our mood. The only thing missing was hot chocolate that is usually served.
Once we got to the door, we were able to enjoy some great ice cream.
Bri got cinnamon roll
Kiff got a breakfast sundae (of course)
Emmie got coffee and donut
I had my favorite - coffee and maple bacon. YUM!
Then, later in the day, we attended one of my favorite kid's plays - Annie Jr. We viewed it as a chance to allow Bri and Kiff to get to see drama in action once again, and visit the middle school as well. It did not disappoint. The show was awesome and the acting was fun. It was great to see some students we were familiar with take to the stage. One of my favorite parts was seeing how large the stage crew was. There were as many people in this one play stage crew as I had in total in ours. ZOINKS!
